Ryan Charles Roubion, MD is a fellowship-trained sports medicine and orthopedic surgeon treating patients at Metairie Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. Dr. Roubion grew up in Destrehan, LA, and attended Brother Martin High School. He received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University graduating cum laude. There, he was a 4-time letter winner as a javelin thrower on the LSU Track and Field team. Dr. Roubion went on to receive his medical doctorate from Louisiana State University School of Medicine, and he continued his orthopedic surgery residency training there. He completed his fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery at Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center (MSMOC) in Jackson, Mississippi, and at the Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine.

Dr. Roubion has multiple publications on various orthopedic topics and has received multiple awards for scholarship and professionalism. He maintains affiliations with the Louisiana Orthopedic Association, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
